Roza Jokai was a Hungarian writer and painter active at the end of the 19th century and around the turn of the century. She was the granddaughter of the actress Róza Laborfalvi, and the adopted child of the writer and journalist Mór Jókai. Her mother, Róza Anna Ágnes Benke, was the result of an extramarital relationship between Róza Laborfalvis (née Benke) and Márton Lendvay. After the marriage of Mór Jókai and Róza Laborfalvi, Róza Jókai was adopted by Mór Jókai. She studied painting in Budapest with Bertalan Székely and Károly Lotz and was a student of the history painter Sándor Liezen-Mayer (Alexander von Liezen-Mayer) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Her portraits and still lifes were widely exhibited during her lifetime. Her works were created under the influence of Impressionism and Hungarian landscape and still life painting of the 19th century. In 1888 Róza Jókai married the painter Árpád Feszty.
