Újpest is today the name of the fourth district of Budapest. Újpest was made a city in 1907 and incorporated into the Hungarian capital in 1950. One of six districts of the IV district is also called Újpest. In the IVth district there is, among other things, the northern tip of the Danube island of Népsziget. Well-known Hungarian artists are: Béni Ferenczy, Endre Vadász, Tibor Hetényi, Tibor Gergely, Brigitta Videky, Maria Lazar, Zsigmond Cselényi Walleshausen, Geza Boross, Ibolya Csengery, Gitta Gyenes, Ferenc Erdély, Ilona Bereczky, Olga Székely-Kovács, Maria Barta, Alice Endresz, Jenö Szabados, Gyula Derkovits, Jozsef Rippl-Ronay, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Victor Vasarely and Vilmos Aba-Novak.

In the case of normal taxation (marked ° at the estimate), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium. This amounts to 13% for paintings, drawings, graphic works and sculptures and 20% for photographs and all other items.
The buyer's premium amounts to 28% in case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation.
