Maximilian Reinitz was an Austrian artist. From 1898 to 1902, he studied at the Munich Art Academy under Johann Herterich, Ludwig von Herterich, Carl von Marr and Peter von Halm. He then worked in Budapest, Dresden and Berlin, and again in Vienna from 1914. Study trips took him to Italy, Germany and Albania. From 1922 until his early death in 1935, he was an honorary member of the Hagenbund.
